October Word from the Chairman (2016)

The North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce is committed to our mission of keeping Bexar County strong through the delivery of advocacy, networking, recognition, leadership and professional development programs. As we prepare for a new year, we seek input from our members, look forward to honoring a deserving individual at our annual Gala and finish the year with an Economic Outlook.

Membership Survey
The North SA Chamber strives to provide you with exceptional service, benefits and opportunities to move your business forward. As we plan for 2017, we ask that you help us ensure that we are meeting your business needs by completing a very brief 12-question survey. The survey will focus on membership pricing, communication, benefits and events. You can access the survey here through November 18, 2017: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2016NSACOC

2017 San Antonian Honoree
Each year at the annual Gala, the outgoing Chairman has the opportunity to recognize an individual whose achievements, as well as charitable and civic contributions transcend his or her industry, career and immediate communities. It is an honor for me to have the opportunity to select and recognize Berto Guerra, CEO of Avanzar Interior Technologies GP, LLC. In addition to his work at Avenzar, Berto is the Chairman of the San Antonio Water System’s Board of Trustees. His civic and community engagement is far reaching and I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to get to know Berto personally over the years. If you haven’t reserved your table for the Gala on Saturday, January 14th at the Marriott Rivercenter, visit the event registration page.

Economic Outlook
We want to provide you and your business with the tools you need to succeed. One of those tools is access to individuals and information that can help you plan for the future. On Friday, December 9, Dr. Ray Perryman will be presenting his forecast of the economy at the national, state and local level. Each guest will receive a copy of The Perryman Economic Forecast for the United States, Texas, and the San Antonio MSA. The material will include an overview narrative with pertinent graphs as well as historical and projected tables for key economic indicators, industries and other MSA's in Texas. Dr. Perryman has been called a “genius” by The Wall Street Journal, a “world class scholar” by Business Week, the “unofficial state economist” by The New York Times, and “the most quoted man in Texas” by Texas Monthly. He is a dynamic speaker and an economist of worldwide recognition. If you are a Chairman’s Council member or would like to learn more about this event and the Chairman’s Council, please contact Marilyn White at mwhite@northsachamber.com or (210) 344-4848.
