GrillsGiving – a celebration of meat and music.
CPS Energy invites families to enjoy tasty BBQ, live music and fun for a good cause at the 4th Annual GrillsGiving on Saturday, November 17, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Mission County Park, 6030 Padre Dr. About 30 BBQ teams from across the state will face off in a competitive BBQ cook-off to raise money for neighbors in need. Grill teams, including CPS Energy teams, will be grilling and serving samples for local celebrity judges and attendees. Attendees will help decide the winner of the People’s Choice award. An exciting award ceremony will be held at the end of the event. Got grill skills? Register your team by Oct. 19. The event also will feature live music from Guy Forsyth, Powell Brothers and Smoke Wagon and there will be activities for the whole family.
Community partners can support GrillsGiving by sponsoring the event or a competitive team. General admission tickets are $10 and children 12 and under can attend for free. All-inclusive tickets are $25 and include two beverage and three BBQ tasting tickets. Guests have access to free parking. Visit cpsenergy.com/grillsgiving for more details.
Proceeds from GrillsGiving benefit the Residential Energy Assistance Partnership (REAP) fund. Through REAP, CPS Energy, the City of San Antonio and Bexar County help eligible customers pay their utility bills, especially during the winter and summer months
