About Us

The San Antonio Lighthouse’s mission is to empower the lives of people with vision loss. Founded in 1933, the San Antonio Lighthouse is one of the largest employers of individuals with vision loss in the nation. They are also Texas’ largest manufacturer of U.S. made military apparel, and the largest provider of independent living skill programs for all ages and all stages of vision loss. Last year, the San Antonio Lighthouse provided more than 23,000 services to roughly 7,000 Texans.

The Lighthouse has multiple retail operations located on military bases in three states. The Lighthouse expanded their ecommerce office product program to offer competitive savings to the private and public sectors. All purchases are reinvested locally and fund their programs.
