John Tyler, P.E., RAS Promoted to Vice President by Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc.
San Antonio, Texas (August 12, 2019) – Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of John Tyler, P.E., RAS, to Vice President. As Vice President, Mr. Tyler will continue to lead transportation planning and roadway projects across the state of Texas. Mr. Tyler joined Pape-Dawson in 2005. His experience in transportation and roadway projects includes schematic design, complex drainage modeling, geometric layouts, utility coordination, public meetings, accelerated schedules, and project coordination. He has successfully managed multi-disciplined design teams, agency coordination, stakeholder interactions, and public meetings in support of controversial projects.

In addition to his PS&E experience, he is an industry leader in incorporating unique ADA-compliant pedestrian features into project design and has overseen ADA improvement projects in 112 communities. His knowledge and experience of both GIS and roadway design has led to his ability to manage the development of methods to streamline data collection utilizing GPS and GIS, enabling complex analysis of spatially enabled information.

Mr. Tyler is actively involved in the community and currently sits on the board for the Comal Independent School District and the American Society of Civil Engineers Texas Section. In 2012, Mr. Tyler was awarded the Texas Society of Professional Engineers- Bexar Chapter “Young Engineer of the Year.” He is also a graduate of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Leadership Development Program.

Mr. Tyler earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University in 2004. He is a registered professional engineer and registered accessibility specialist in the state of Texas.
